Hey all.
Got my Tippmann A-5 with AK-47 upgrades few days ago.
BT ak-47 barrel

BT Combat Stock

Trinity ak-47 clip-Expansion Chamber (now BEFORE you go and flame me because expansion chamber doesn't do anything when Compressed air is used, THE ONLY reason why I got this, is because this clip is as close as you can get to the real look of ak-47.

E-trigger upgrade

*update* Just installed Vortex Mod & Lightening rod for the cyclone system *

Did I also mention that I'm Russian? That's the BIGGEST reason why I went with AK-47

7 I suppose if you're going for that whole mislim, real looking stuff, this is the way to go. not my cup of tea, but I dig anyways

thanks guys. Yea I'm going for the real look...tactical stuff for scenario games. I also really really want to get a scope, but that will never happen because that WILL spoil the whole idea of the Assault rifle (ak-47)

theres a sight on the barrel right? id say cut off that front sight on the A% body so you have a better line of aiming,,,

I think the steel hose looks fine, just get a shorter piece.

9/10 for a milsim gun mate. Very clean looking conversion on the forestock, no visible jimmy rigging etc. i would have gone with a non-cyclone feed marker though and used a qloader mounted remotley to go for a better "look". Ive been considering a milsim marker, and i like this one(you took the extra time to make it look right).

That fore stock is from an airsoft spetznaz right?

it might be, but BT makes their own ak barrels for the 98's and the A5's. I like the A5AK's that that one milsim company makes, its a kickass setup...

looks pretty sweet but i wouldve gone w/ the wood upgrades instead.

For an actual AK, the rear sight would be a little bit forward of the A5's front sight. Since that is not here, there isn't much you can do; you might as well keep the A5 front sight on in case you want to convert back.

Engler's stuff is nice, but very, very expensive.

There are much better AK markers out there as far as realism goes and I'm not talking Tippmann add-ons.

For A5s this is ok. It's good effort but what you have is an MP5 reciever, an AK47 front, and an M16 A1 stock.

One thing you might want to consider is getting ahold of an AK mag-well (where the magazine goes into the gun) and do some fabrication to put it on your A5 and over the clip, giving more realism and taking away from the MP5 look of the marker. Getting the top portion of an AK reciever and fabricating that will also add more to the look.

I would not suggest a Q-loader. Personally I think a giant tube on your marker takes realism away, while using a tac-cap that OpsGear sells will just make your profile smaller, and cap you off at about 30 or so rounds (I know, I know, only 30 rounds is heresy to most of this forum. But scenario play is a whole other animal).

I give it a 6/10

Thanks man oh and yea I am changing over to the Tacamo wooden stock and the barrel, only because I bought this tippmann ak-47 in a whole package

yea man, I love positive critisism

eh, paintball is just an expensive sport and at this point right now, I need all the money I can get trying to fix my car....I hit a deer 2 Thursdays ago and its been a pain in my arse since then, heh.
Thank you for the info though, I will definetly consider few things that you have mentioned.
