Ups For My Spyder E99 Avant
Hey, I have a Spyder E99 Avant with a Spyder 16-inch Sniper Barrel off of a Spyder TLR or a TLX...can't remember. I have a new 9 Volt NI-MH Rechargeable Battery in it that I bought from RadioShack...reccomend buying a new one from here rather than the online paintball stores, and no other upgrades. Though it already works beautifully, I would like to dump some cash into it. I'm planning on a Shocktech ACS Delrin Bolt for it...MAYBE an electronic hopper...but probably not. What Else should I put into it?

Hell no, I can hit people that nobody else could hit. I mean, you have no idea how good that barrel is on the end of my gun.

Your Funny.
There is no such thing as a sniper Barrel in paintball. THis is because everyone sets their gun to a certain velocity range. Even if the barrel manges to somehow increase your velocity, you would have to then turn it down so it is in that specified range.
And, if you are shooting at the same velocity on two completely differen't guns/barrels, the paintball should fly the exact same distance because of kinematics.
YOur barrel may be marginally more accurate, but it isn't a "sniper barrel", because the point of those on a real sniper is to increase the velocity and range, not necessarily accuracy. And considering you called it a sniper barrel in the first place, lets me know that oyu likely didn't find out what a good barrel was before you bought it,a nd jut bought the longest one you could afford. So, therefore, your wrong.

Well excuse me for not being a genius. Let me tell you where you're wrong.
1. I didn't buy it
2. It's a good barrel
3. It's not the longest I could find...could've had a 21 inch.
I'm soooo sorry that you know a little bit more than I do about paintball guns and their velocity and kinematics. Point is...my barrel works, and I'm not about to get rid of it because you told me to.

1. Stolen?
2. What kind is it. COnsidering you called it a "sniper barrel", how are you sure you know what your talking about.
3. I said longest you likel could buy, there are 30+ inch barrels, but they are high priced to try and get people who have no idea to spend alot on them, thinking they are good.
And it has nothing to do with paintball. Kinematics applies to everything. If you don't understand that concept, maybe you should go back to middle school, because that is where you do learn it.
Of course your barrel _works_. I never said it didn't, but cahnces are, you could have a much better barrel if you looked for even a good 14 inch, rather than just getting something because you think it makes you a "sniper".
YOu don't snipe in paintball, thats a fact. And toting the fact that you have sniping equipment will get you nothing but being made fun of. It's best that I let you know now, rather than look like a dumbass at the paintball field.

lol.
Nice.
The Impulse is a nice gun also, depending on the price you can get. I prefer the feel of it... It seems like a more solid gun.
BUt yeah, the ion is more up-able.

I'm not trying to be a sniper. I didn't steal the barrel, I traded it for the barrel that was on my gun. It was an 11 inch stock barrel. My friend owns a Sypder TLR, and it came with a 14 inch, and a 16 inch. They are both micro-honed, and have a nice metallic finish. I don't really know much else about it, I tried it on my gun, it worked better than the one that I had, and for some odd reason, he wanted to trade my 11 for his 16...so I did. I later found out that the reason that he wanted to trade was because he kept chopping paint, and he thought it was the barrel that was responsible...it was really that his velocity was ten times too high...also why his balls were curving like you've never seen before. I probably could perform the same, if not better with a decent 14 inch, but I don't know much about that stuff. I don't know what to buy, where to buy it, what's good, what's not good, etc. If you're done insulting me...could you maybe post up some good barrels for my gun, that are at an affordable price...preferably not more than $40.00. And also, I like the 16 inch barrels a little bit more, just because they increase the distance the ball goes, so please help me find out what to buy in terms of a good, affordabl barrel that is hopefully a 16 inch.

you can buy a 12" smartparts teardrop or progressive on actionvillage.com on clearance for $25. better than any stock spyder barrel. barrel lengths dont help accuracy over 12". however some people find longer barrels easier to sight down though.

LOL.
YOu could have a 300 inch barrel, and it wouldn't increase the distance of the ball.
it's called physics, and no barrel will defy it.

Hey, I'm back, and I'm not a retard anymore...I did my homework. I now know that the barrel doesn't increase ball distance...the gun does...along with physics. The barrel just helps with accuracy...I think. Well anyways, I still need some suggestions for some upgrades for my gun...but I'm not really sure if you should waste your time with it. My mother's kind of a stickler about money...seeing as we don't have a lot of it to begin with! Yeah...I said it..I'm kinda poor...but who cares. I'm not sixteen yet (will be on may 27th) so I don't have a job yet, so I'm not generating any revenue yet. Once I get a job though, I'm going to sell my airsoft rifle that I no longer use (practically brand new...only used like twice) and then probably buy a DIABLO MONGOOSE 2. Seems like a really good gun, and I have heard really good news about them from other forums and gun review sites. 888Paintball.com has them for $149.99, which is a really good deal, seeing as they USED to go for about $250-300. Anyways, I just wanted to apologize for being such a moron and to let everybody know what my plans are. Keep posting up ideas for upgrades though, because this plan might not go through, and if it doesn't...I need to have ideas for some ups. Thanks everybody...Later.

the guy is right with going for the ion
i just recently read that all of the smart parts brand guns have the same board and are therefore no better but you are paying like 100-200$ more for the look of the gun.
i got sm ion with red redz body kit
egg evolution 2 hoper
3000 psi commpressed air tank
remote (to get rid of tank weight in the gun)
and a freak 2 peice 14 inch barrel
I spent almost 400$ on everything including clothes and i am very happy with my marker
