I am looking at buying a US Army Projcet Salvo or Alpha Black. I am just wondering what is the best tactical type marker for urban areas and woodsball areas. Any aadvice would be much appreciated and it would be a package deal with the hopper, mask, pods, pod pack, preferably a carrying case also.

Tactical markers now really run the whole range of price and performance. Do you want something basic with a basic tactical look? Do you want mech or electronic? Do you want it mag fed with or without First Strike capability? Do you want to spend $100 or $2000?

Paintball is paintball. I'm not sure what you're looking for.

All markers shoot the same distance and velocity, have the same accuracy etc, etc, etc. If the millitary had the ability to make firearms as small as paintball markers that were just as effective as what they currently use, they would.

I highly recommend a high quality mask; without one you're going to have a bad time.

There are no tactical pods. Pods are pods are pods....

the halo too is a fantastic, affordable hopper that will hold up to abuse.

There are vests where you can hold a tank along with pods on your back. I use a tank against my shoulder, so I don't really see a point in them. I have one i tried to use once for a scenario(to hold a radio and papers) but it didn't fit right and kept pulling up into my throat.

i use an old duffle bag to carry my gear to the field; works great.

the M4 look and customizability is really what I'm looking for but just if the is one better and/or cheaper than the project salvo is my question

Dye DAM is fancy
Tactical g6r really nice
Tactical etha cheap
Sp1 is a cheap but nice marker
BT traccer is a good marker
Macdev tactical drone the drone is one of my top markers for the price
Thats all i got i prefer to stick to a more speedball type marker

For just the look/price ratio the Salvo is a good choice and the new Spyder MR series is pretty decent as well. There are markers with the looks and better performance but you will pay for it.
