Old school Budd Orr Sniper II
I bought this gun on May 2, 1990. The guy I bought it from said it was a Budd Orr Sniper II. What is the difference between the Sniper and the Sniper II? Anyway, he didn't like the grip so he replaced the receiver (or whatever the thing is that holds the trigger and grip - maybe it isn't called a receiver) with one that had a better grip. I love this gun! I used to play when everyone had pump guns. Recently I went and played and got shot up because all the kids had autocockers.
I am interested in selling it, but I want to know what I could get for it before I try. Either that, or I want to upgrade it to an autococker. What would that cost me, and do they still make parts to upgrade it?
It was made by Worr Game Products, by the way. They aren't replying to emails from me when I ask them if it can still be upgraded. That might be a bad sign.
Thanks

No, it's upgradeable. WGP has made their guns so that the newest Eblade will fit on even your sniper. Nice gun, upgrade it a little, I don't think you can get a whole lot for it.

actually i think the front end kits on them change from the year 99 and 2000 so a 99 gun needs a different pump kit.

It is a Sniper II.
I read this post by Bill Mills in rec.sport.paintball:
"The body of the Sniper-I was machined from a solid block of aluminum.
The Sniper-II was extuded to shape, and then machined. I believe the
Sniper-I also did not have a sight rail. The Sniper-III is a bit
different than the II in that it lacks the vertical bottle connection,
and instead
has a gas line entering at the front of the reciever (this design was
carried to the Sniper from the mini-cocker). I believe the pump on
the Sniper-IIIs is also different, in that it wraps around the barrel,
insead of riding on a metal rod below the barrel."

You wont find those anymore.
And yes there is a difference in 99 in under and 2000 and over front end kits.
There wont be much you can do, except change the trigger frame, maybe a bottomline, barrel, ...or a new front end kit with a new sniper converison.
