ooohhh....I just thought of something the thompson with the straight clip instead of the drum. And make it look like WW2 military issue. <homer>mmmmmmm thompson.....

Yeah I do like the cap. But take a 98 and you need a hopper. Same with any other gun, except the A5 because of the cap.

Back to your tippy:
All you really need to do is take a Thompson style drum mag, hollow it out, and put it where the handle is. Just a little tac weld here and tac weld there and its set.

Drum and hacksaw off the entire front grip where you are putting the drum. Then fabricate a way to mount the grip to the bottom of the barrel (like a bracket) that would be pimp. You know geting the cyclone and cap for the 98 might be of interest as well.
