i have a question.... you said they where made out of plastic but on Scenario Arms LLC. ( where the pics originated) they say that the kits are made out of anodized matte black aluminum... can you shed some light into this??

Wow I haven't been back here in a while, and am really sorry for missing this question 4574, sorry about that. And also as a byproduct of your post, thanks for bringing it to my attention that I needed to address something on my website
The majority of all of the pictured mods that I have done in the pics and on the site, are plastic prototypes. Regular ol' mods that I've done myself by hand with just a dremmel and some epoxy and chopping up airsoft parts. Then I get together with a really great engineer that I met, and he helps me get them made into production quality pieces. The only truly production part that I have for the x7 at the moment is my G3 "heavy mag". The original mod was done with plastic parts, but now, it's a professionally made Magazine/Magwell combo that is CnC Machined from a single solid block of aircraft grade aluminum. (Finally got them onto rockstartactical.com, woot!)
So though I have the parts listed as being constructed of aluminum on the website, with the exception of the G3 magazine, all of the parts and kits on the site also have "IN DEVELOPMENT" listed on them also. They will eventually be made out of aluminum, or a mix of aluminum and plastic polymers depending on the parts, as soon as I can afford to get them made.
The next part that'll be released is the X7 SCAR stock, hopefully within a month to a month and a half. The stock is a mix of plastic and aluminum, and the front portion of it will be machined from aluminum also. My hopes are that there will be enough interest in the scar stock that I can then afford to get the sig552 kit made.
Sorry for the confusion on the site.

I'll give you 8/10 because you have gone for addons and not performance
1 you still have the response and no E
2 your barrel choice comes down to looks no hammer or freak in sight to be the best
3 your internal upgardes are lacking so over 13 you will never see

I thank you for your honest response, and am gratefull for it.

But I respectfully feel that those aren't very valid points. Though I do respect your opinion, I will state my thoughts on why I have the upgrades that I have.
1. "You still have the response, and no E"
Different playstyles. When an M16 assault rifle fires around 14 rounds per second on full auto.... do you REALLY need to fire 25+bps? It's unnecessary. You can keep someone pinned down with suppressive fire just as well with 10-15bps as you can with 30bps,... and your paint lasts twice as long. Plus I'm not sure if you're aware or not, but there are TONS of issues with the tippmann e-grip for the x7. Selinoids breaking off, the magnets not working properly, people constantly having to return e-grips to tippmann because they are always breaking. RT is just as valid of a trigger system as an E-Grip, even more-so depending on a persons play style.
2. "your barrel choice comes down to looks no hammer or freak in sight to be the best"
Last I checked, Palmers Brass were good barrels, and so were Lapco Bigshots and JJ's. The only benefit of barrel kits is being able to specifically make sure that you have a proper paint-barrel bore match. Which is a great benefit when having to use field paint. However, every field out here in So. Cal. is "bring your own paint". Meaning I don't have to ever worry about that because I can always use the brands of paint that are perfect fits for my different barrels.
Other than the junky trinity barrel that was in the g36c picture (seriously,.... what short cqb barrels are going to be very accurate at distance anyways) it has since been replaced by a 9" Palmers Brass. And unless hammerhead and freak start making 20" barrels for use with the dragunov, the J&J is the best that can be used with that one.
Palmers Brass barrels are used in the G3, M4SIR, MG36 (now), SCAR, Sig552, and SL8. Can't tell me that palmers brass arent good barrels. Especially when matching paint/barrel isnt an issue.
3. your internal upgardes are lacking so over 13 you will never see.
HUH? Every single component of my x7 is upgraded with the exception of my qeph and cyclone rod (not necessary mods). Aftermarket front bolt, powertube, secondary regulator, paddles, internals that are mirror polished,... the only thing left to upgrade is the cyclone internals, which aren't necessary to upgrade other than the squishy's. I don't even need to get an aftermarket ratchet, because of my axle being modded, I'm still using my stock ratchet after 2 years with no problems.
Heh.... seriously.

Velocity-wise due to the upgrades and the secondary regulator my velocity holds pretty much around +/- 7fps per shot, which is pretty good for a tippy if I must say so
