actually kidpaintballer this should be in gun comparisons. I would get the raven. My friend has one and it's nice. you could get a Game Face Impulse for 400 and that would be much better than both of those guns. but in you're set on the raven or spyder get the raven.

tear drop is a good barrel for the money. the other good thing about the imp is that it comes with a tear drop, which saves you about $45. so now you really only spend about $5 more.

i e-mailed game face (which is much better than a base imp from smart parts) and they told me $400 for a non-vision.
game face has a delrin bolt, new front cap, sick milling, new grips, magnetic trigger - at least mine came with that.

the raven is little better but i dont no much about ravens. $350 is probably alittle over priced so i would work it down alot. but if your parents will spend $300 on a gun i would hands down get a BKO. If you dont no what a bko is then go to the indian creek designs part of this forum and theres a bunch of stuff about it there.
to summarize the bko it is cappable of 18 bps, it is electropneumatic, it is much better than a raven, and it can hold its own against an impulse. you can find a brand new one for $300 on the internet

depends on how much moeny you have. Imagine is a great starter gun for cheap.
If you have 300 dollars defenitaly get a bko, its much better than both of them IMO.
