ya i agree, half the fun is upgrading the gun, if you go out, buy a DM7 with a virtue installed, what fun is that, theres like no upgrades you can do to that....unless you want to just toss out some money to say that your gun can do 35 bps (thats your hopper in 6 seconds or so.... ..... .....

the only gun ive seen for 1500 anymore is the nexus pink trooper, and other 1/25 or 1/10 guns, which is pretty stupid when you think of all the custom jobs out there

I used to think that. Until I bought my DM4. The only real upgrade is the M3 chip and laser eyes. But damned if it isnt the best marker I've owned. Before that I had a half-blocked WGP autococker that I had about 1100$ invested in, my DM blows it away at a third of the cost, so trust me, theres a BIG difference in an Ion with $400 in upgrades and a, for example, 06 ego at the same price.

By the time you upgrade a gun enough that it might be able to compete with guns that cost twice as much, you'll have ended up spending more than you originally would have if you just bought the more expensive one.
The only people who don't believe high end guns are worth it are those who have never owned one. Obviously they're overpriced, but so are all paintball guns.

And I post when I report someone so no one else does it and the moderators are flooded with reports over the same posts.

Well, it is worth it to spend the money for a high end gun, I have, and most of us on the forum have, but the point is, the gunis not worth it. So, what I'm saying is you guys are mixing up whether the gun is worth it, or if spending money to get one is worth it. No gun is worth $1000+, but but it is worth $1000+ to have one.

If you take the marginal cost of a paintball gun, they are not worth it. But, you gotta have what you like. So you buy them anyway.

What? Obviously there are few if any guns that are worth over a $1k in terms of the machining and parts etc. However while it may seem like the company is making an absurd profit, there are other costs that need to be covered. You have to take into account the cost of labor, cost of the machines, advertising, etc. etc. etc... there are too many other costs of running a business to take into account that we the public most likely don't know about.

Last I saw the one Dark DM4 on the market was going for somewhere around $4500, give or take about $500.

If the mods don't feel his offenses necessitate any punishment that's their prerogative, I'm just making their jobs easier. But perhaps they simply haven't gotten around to punishing him, I don't know. Either way, if he continues trying to be a bad ass and flame me after he blatantly breaks the rules over and over, I'm sure the mods are not going to overlook it.
