how to clean thermal lens
i have thermal lense and was wondering what the best way is to clean them? I've used water and a cloth hankerchief on my old lenses. Is that still ok with these or is the inner lense more fragil and i should go about it in a different way?

At the field = Spray bottle water... lint free cloth...
At home when cleaning = mild dish soap and warm water, lint free cloth, air dry

Believe it or not i use this stuff called Endust. Used for flat screen monitors or tvs. It cleans all the paint off very well, and leaves no smear like the regular goggle cleaner does.

so if i use water on the inside of the lense it won't ruin the thermal lense? What makes the thermal lense not fog up? i thought it was a spray stuff?

Thermal lens are actually 2 lens on top of each other with a little air gap in between. They are like storm windows...those dont fog either.

whatever u do just don't use windex or something on it......it will weaken the lens and evertually it can crack and break.....i just use spray bottle water and a cloth, and sometimes air in a can to get the paint out of the tight spaces
