smelly mask

ive got two profilers and both smell horrible. I rinse them in hot water after every day and hang them out to dry. Is it ok to use soap on the goggles(including the foam)? what kind of soap?

i was going to throw them in the dishwasher like an article on pbstar recomended but then in the comments some one said it ****s up the mask. article

hmm i don't play that often so maybe that's why it doesn't stink but...

i try to keep the foam dry when i wash it... can never do it completely. maybe getting the foam wet is what makes it stink?

i was actually wondering the same thing (how to wash the foam)

EDIT: can you tell if it's the foam that's smelling? btw i have a profiler.

the water probably causes the foam to get like all moldy and stuff so try not to wash it too much or maybe even blow dry it

maybe you can replace the foam somehow? or maybe give it a good washing with strong soap (laundry detergent?) and blow dry it? just some thoughts.

heh... don't blame me if you ruin your foam this way or something.

i just washed it with dr. brauner's(best soap ever). twice.

and then i dried the foam really good with a towel and now the smells gone. but it loosened up some of the foam on one of the masks(it was allready coming apart a bit), no biggie i just gotta use a hot glue gun on it.

i think he means the dishwasher. which is more than I'd do. I stick everything in the dishwasher except for my maks, tanks and marker. cleans 'em up fast. I handwash my mask in teh kitchen sink and use dishsoap on it.

i dont really see what could go wrong as long as you put it on air dry, unless the foam/plastic reacts with the soap wrong. Maybe ill find a cheap used mask and try it out.
