Question Mask Cleaning Help

Last week i was hit in the lence of my mask with yellow paint. The place where I was hit is now stained yellow... What can i do to get it off?
I tryed rubbing it off with rubbing alcohol, but that diddent work.

I have an Extreme Rage X-Ray mask if that helps.
Please write me back with some ideas.

Thank You.

on the extreme rage x-ray gogles i think they come with a clear sticker on the lense to prevent them from being scratched during shipping or something. if this sticker is still on there try pulling it off and then cleaning it. i know they do because my little brother got a mask like that

Is it safe to put lenses in the dishwasher? you can try that if you want, but first id make sure it wouldnt warp the lense

did you let the paint sit on it for a while? if paint is on a clear mask lense for several days, it will perminently stain your mask

no scrubbing or solutions will clean it off

as a rule of thumb, its best to clean all your gear after you play, then you wouldn't have this problem

A Better rule of thumb is to buy a NEW LENSE after any direct lense hit. Each hit to the lense will weaken the lense and it will eventually shatter/crack at the second or twenty-second lense hit. Your eyes are too valuable to gamble 20 bucks on.

somehow i HIGHLY doubt this, as long as your shooting field limits, there should be no amount of lense shots that will break it. i may be wrong, but w/e. no way im getting a new lense after every hit there. plus, my friend got goggled literaly 8 times with a crappy old rental mask, that lense was OLD. Yes, true story. We call him the JFK of paintball caus he got owned so bad.

It's a matter of safety, do you want to risk it? I sure dont. No amount of lense shots to break it? Why do lenses crack then? My lenses have cracked with 2 gogs. Others have lasted more than that. But the mask i personally use, gets a new lense every gog.

So you buy a new mask every time you get hit? That is retarded if you ask me.

Also, I doubt that paint is coming off after sitting there for a week, get a new mask or a new lens.

Put it in the Goggles section next time.

Dude, If it was that real expensive paint that people buy when they are sick of cheaters wiping Idoub't it will come off if it hasn't already, because I thihnk they use different stuff to make that paint. If you don't have a lot of $ You could just play with the same mask and stuff and put up with the yellow, unless it is really Yellow.

Its probably cause you are not taking good care of your mask... Do you wash them with water and air dry them, wipe them with a lint free cloth, store them away from direct sunlight, and in a goggle bag?

I have seen even cheap goggles last a long time if properly maintained -- I mean look at every rental set out there. I can't tell you how many times I hav sat at the ned of a nite washing the rental stuff...

I will agree with one part of your statement -- "why risk it?" I agree that your sight is worth the $60-70-90 bucks you put into your mask.

do you dring 5 new lenses with you to the field every time you play? i agree taht your eyes are important(who wouldnt), but yo literally throw away a brand new lense every time you get gogged will bankrupt any hardcore player
