Uh-Oh

I still have my "very first" mask from when I started pballing 4 years ago and since then I haven't changed the lenses at all. Is this bad? What do you guys do? I hear its recommended yearly or something. Ne ways i've only had bout 4 headshots in total.

wow. I change my lense atleast twice a year. And for 4 years i believe its time for a whole new mask. Drop by your local shop and pick up one of these.

JT Proflex
V-Force Profiler

there are also other masks like the dye invision, JT flex 7, and V-force Morph that are also nice masks.

If you cant afford a new mask, get a new lense before you play again. your health could be at risk wearing that antique.

I would definately changes lenses, if not masks soon. Like ^^^he said if you dont at least replace that lense, you are risking possible serious consequences. One time a ball might just shatter your lense and take out an eye. It may be one of the extreme cases, but it has been known to happen. I dont kno what kind of mask your using, but if u can find some that fit the kind you have, pick up a set of mirrored lenses. not only do they look sweet but they have a purpose when ur playing outdoors when its bright. They act as sunglasses. Only downside, is that indoors, your vision isnt as great w/ bad lighting. So i would have a backup pair of clear lenses just in case. Only my opinion though.

If you do have the cash, then i would definately invest in a new mask system. Again like ^^^^^he said i would get the v-force profiler, or the proflex. Ive used the Invisions and didnt like them personally. i own a pair of profilers and this could honestly be the last type of mask i get. They are amazing. I kno theres a review of the profilers in this forum somewhere. Try running a search. Also on here, I posted a thread on purchasing new masks and what goes into it. Try reading that too. Hope that helped

Why would they shatter over time? I've only had a ttoal of 4 headshots and 2 lenses shot. I'll put my mask on the floor asap and shoot the lens and i'll see what happens. If they DO shatter then i'll go buy some new lenses. Btw I have a PMI mask....

the lenses gradually break down, the wont literally shatter like glass but after awhile its not gonna stop the balls from going through. It will give in and the ball will just keep goin, ive seen it happen trust me

Stupidest. Idea. Evar.

If you do that it will weaken them even more making them more likely to break on the next shot, if they don't break when you shoot them. Don't do it.

Just buy a new mask. Don't risk your sight.

im not sayin that this will happen like the next shot you take, but the more time u use them, the more and more likely it becomes.

get a new mask asap. 4 years is way too long for not replacing a lense, or gettin a new mask.
