sorry if this is bumping a really old thread, but I found the thread twice while trying to find paintball locations near manhattan, kansas; as such I thought this would be a good place to post to let everyone else looking for a Paintball Location to not go to Dropzone Paintball near Manhattan Kansas.
First, Krazy Kris is out of business, so that advice is no longer valid.
I don't know a good place near Manhattan, Kansas to paintball yet. I did find a horrible location though.
Dropzone Paintball basically stole my money today. I played for hours and traded in my gun three times, as none of the markers they were providing were worth anything. The maintenance must have been really bad, because every gun they gave me failed to operate once they were on the field. I had to cock the gun for every shot. Becoming increasingly frustrated, I sat out the last game, just wanting to shoot at a non-moving target and use up some paint (which I had been unable to fire the entire day, due to horrible gear.) I couldn't even finish off my ammo; the gun stopped working once again.
I returned the gun to the stand and asked if I could have my money back, as none of the guns I had rented were worth half a damn. Afterthey spoke to a manager, they answered that no, they were sorry, I had, after all, been able to shoot paint all day. Too pissed off to argue, I told them I wouldn't be returning.
walking up the hill directly behind me was an entire reservation group that had been playing as well; in their first game they found out that an entire six of their rental guns were faulty as well.
It didn't help that the regulars on the field disrespected all the rules, the organization on the part of the referees was horrible, and when my sister was shot in the back of the head by one of her own teammates from pointblank range, leaving her blind for a couple seconds, one of the regular members jokingly took credit for it, thinking he was funny.
I don't only want my money back, I want my entire afternoon back. Dropzone Paintball, south of Lawrence, Kansas, is absolutely crap. whatever you do, find a different field to play at.
