Team Knucklehead consists of 6 core players and 4-5 casual players located in the western suburbs of Chicago.
We are adult players (20's and 30's), with an average of approximately 3 years of pb experience. The vast majority of the team had played previously, and just returned to the sport this year.
The team practices almost every Saturday (and some Sundays), starting around noon, at a private field on 12 acres in West Chicago, IL. The field is about 20 minutes from Fox River Games in Aurora, so we generally gass up and get supplies there before we begin.
The field (a work in progress), consists of approximately a dozen bunkers, 2 trashed racecars, several interesting hills and gullies and a brushpile that is approximately 25' tall by 25' wide, all layed out in a hyperball-ish track.
Adjacent to the existing field is about 3 acres of shoulder high grass/weeds, which leads to an even larger wooded area. As time permits we plan to expand the track in those directions.
Since most of us had been away from pb for the last couple years, we decided this year was all about gearing up and learning to work together as a team. The grand plan includes entering 3 and 5 man tourneys, and a couple big games in 2005.
The core of the team uses a variety of gear, including a 04 vision shocker (my baby), a dark shocker, a couple impulses with vision, an eblade cocker, 04 vert cocker and the Frankenspyder (a custom sypder built from various corpses). Other semi regular attendees bring the usual assortment of tippmans, spyders and the occasional pump. Also, my co-captain appears to be powerless to resist the urge to buy a nerve. I can't wait to see that puppy rip.
Well, enough rambling. Here is the point. We are looking for a couple local teams/players to scrimage with or against. Our field is available for such a purpose, or alternatively we can meet up at any of the local fileds ( several of us are members at Fox and PB Country Club).
Anyone interested in grouping up with some fairly serious adult players and working towards tournament play, or any teams that need a new paintjob are welcome to post a reply or contact me via email at

Happy balling,
Team Knucklehead
