I confused
So I was just checking out different site to learn about how a paintball gun actually works. Ive figured that out but i was wondering what things like and expansion chamber would do and how that would work. Also why is hpa better than co2?Please explain.

The expansion-chamber helps liquid CO2 absorb heat, and keep pressure constant because every time you fire, liquid Co2 needs to boil off to replace the gas that is lost, and this process makes the co2 colder, and loose pressure as a result.
E/Cs do nothing for HPA.
HPA, in general, does not have the shootdown problems, cold weather problems, and FPS spikes found with CO2. These problems are usually not noticed by the casual player, but become HUGE problems for the tournament player.
CO2, in general, is cheaper, more effecient, lighter, and easier to use.

I'd probly not worry about HPA right now if you have a spyder, unless u want one/are planning on getting a higher end gun

how is co2 ever lighter than compressed air? co2 is a liquid inside a steel tank (maybe aluminum i dont remember) where as compressed air is just... air. usually inside a carbon fiber tank and sometimes steel.

Yes, liquid CO2 itself is heavier then air. I think most things are heavier then air. Not sure what that has to do with paintball??
My point was that a CO2 tank large enough to give 1000 shots would be lighter then an HPA tank large enough to give 1000 shots. Much lighter when compared to 3K tanks, though the benefit is less when comparing to 4.5 and 5K tanks

a drop forward is an extention that brings ur air supply closer to the center of the gun. this is good in balancing your gun out and making it shorter.
i.e.
vs.
those arent mine, i just google searched them. the top is a drop the bottom is a regular also known as a bottom line.
