Recently i went pb'n with some of my friends at one of their dads land. Well one of my friend dad that plays pb regularly brought a big tank of comp. air from his work and had a fill system and a scale and he was filling everybodys co2's with it. Is this good,bad, or ok

well depends on the pressure i guess. you realy have no regulation that way .... its outputting whatevers in the tank

You can use a Co2 tank with air(HPA) as long as you have a regulator?

If he had a scale it wasn't compressed air. Out of the gasses we use for paintball, only C02 is measured by weight because it is stored as a liquid. Also, to fill an HPA tank you attach a hose to the nipple, not the threads like with C02.

No, DO NOT put CO2 in a HPA tank and DO NOT put HPA in a CO2 tank.

You know why HPA tanks cost 150 bucks more hten CO2? BEcause they are different. They're not made for CO2, and vice versa. DO NOT DO IT. CO2 is stored at somethign like 1500PSI at room temp (if my memory is correct). HPA is stored anywhere from 300 to 4500PSI. Unless you want to walk around with a pinless fragmentation grenade resting 5 inches from your heart and right on your lungs, then DONT DO IT.

However if it was a scale adn he screwed the tank into it, then it was CO2.

I wondered if it could actulyl be done. I know there is a difference and I know for a fact that you shoudl not put very high pressures into steel because it will cause many many problems. I think it's be alright if you have extremly low pressures..but then, it wouldnt' do much good to shoot your marker that way now woudl it?

Also don't let someone fill your tank that doesn't have a gauge or meter, because then you can overtip your co2 tank, and you DO NOT want that to happen. If that happens, changes in pressure and temperature could cause the top to shoot off the tank at about the speed of a missile, in other worse if it hits you your probably ****ing dead.
