Canada has assault rifles?!
Just playing..
Yeah, you can get stocks and all, but paintball is much much different then firing a real gun. The first major issue is range. You might be 200 yards away and be able to drop a round between someone's eyes with a C7 (or whatever the canadian designation is, I forget), but with paintball its much different.
Its more about accuraccy by volume then anything.. But once you becoem one with your marker, you'll be able to just pop off one or two shots and nail whatever you're aiming at.
A major downside to usign stocks in paintball is the mask. When you sight in on a stock, you rest your cheek on the butt. Not too possible when you have a mask on your face, especially cheaper boxier masks.
Tippmann markers can take stocks, and I know theres a website that sells stocks for spyders and piranhas too.
You can also get what's called a gas-thru stock. ITs basicly an aluminum tube that you screw in where the tank would normally go... Then at teh other end you can attach your tank. Attaching your tank directly to it is dumb becuase it relaly screws with the balance of the marker even more.
Instead people use remotes, which are basicly big hoses that are coiled up, adn you can put your CO2 or HPA(nitro) on your back with the use of a 3+1 pack.
Problem with this is it again screws with the normal balance, adn it restricts movement. Your basicly tied to your gun.
Instead, take advantage of the CO2 tank! They make buttplates that you can just slap on the CO2 tank and it acts as a stock for you. Its also in an ideal location, and keeps everythign pretty balanced.
When I play, I use my nitro tank as a stock. MY jersey (and most good jerseys) even have little "drops" that grip the tank when you shoulder it. This is how many pros do it, adn right now its the best way of doing things.
Thanks for serving in teh military!
