pick up a decent loader,a hpa tank and a better barrel setup. after that...start saving towards building or buying a fairly high level gun

Important Universal Items to Concider at first:
-Hpa tank (68cu 3000psi, 68/4500, 45/45, 71/4500 are good sizes)
-In the order of price and speed (Viewloader Revolution, Empire Reloader, Viewloader Evolution, Halo, Empire Reloader B)
Secondary Universal Items:
-Custom Products Regulator
-Unimount/Drop Forward
-Macroline
Marker Specific Items:
-Barrel (JJ Ceramic, SP Boss Progressive. CP - 1 Peice Classic)
-ACS Bolt
A Pen Spring to Lighten Trigger pull of the stock one
I personally wouldnt concider much that's marker specific, you rather want things that will increase performance but is universal so you can move to another gun if/when the time comes for that electro/cocker/mag

a barrel kit. the empire kit would be a good choice. maybe an evil pipe. theres also the freak, or you could build a boomstick kit. personaly illd look into an insert based kit so you can just change backs when you get a new gun

IMO, smart parts progressive or teardrop barrel, or the 32* nyte stikk , 14" is all you need.

depending on your budget, nitrogen really isn't a must.
to get you going id say in this order:
hopper : look into empire reloaders and viewloader revolutions)
barrel : if you're looking for something cheaper look into cp 1 pieces and the j and j barrels, but if you're looking to spend more look into stiffis, dye ultralights, freaks, evil kit, etc.)
bolt: look into the shocktech superfly bolt. i had one for my gun and it helps a lot.
welcome to the forums and the sport.

good post, but i think that the screw holes on the bottom of a spyder's grip frame are propietary(meaning they are not standard, meaning you a unimount you could put on it wouldn't be universal). Also keep in mind if your going to buy a better gun relatively soon then dont bother with a regulator since most mid/high end guns will come with pretty good regs.

yeah true that most high ends wont need a reg, but the majority of the time we would switch over to a cp reg rather than an angel reg , torp reg, or black magic/ergo reg of those high ends.
Also Acs bolt i prefer over the superfly because it limits choping by a good ammt and is just around the same price range. But again marker specfic is something you should be thinking after your other stuff and gotta really think, "Do I want to drop 40-50dollars on a spyder bolt or would I rather take that money and save for an ION or something, then that would lead on to, Do I really need an Ion for the style I play/ how much I play? or is my spyder good enough"
Just noticed your paint question, most stock spyder barrels are large bore so check out whatever is a large bore paint to get the best paint to barrel match. There's a list somewhere around here if you use the search button.

yes, thats true the CP regs are better then the stock regs...i guess it depends on what gun you choose as your next one.
ie: If its a cocker then your money could be better spent on other things(like a barrel kit or eblade), if its an ion it deffinitly is worth it

HPA may not be a must ,buttt it sure freaking helps for consistency.especially in cold weather .Then if and when you up to a better gun you'll be set,you won't regret it..
Now have a painting good time yeah!
