ok i have played woodsball all my 5 years of paintball and i am about to experience my first time at a field... so i want to know what bunkering is, i read about ppl being bunkered but i dont understand it lol... help please so i dont look like a retard at the field.

Ok, say your at your bunker... Someone runs by YOUR bunker at close range and shoots you out. This is bunkering. You run by their bunker, fire, and keep running. Basically a drive by in paintball

well. Bunkering is one of the harder moves to do. Basically it involves running up to a oppossing players bunker, and shooting them out. This is typically acomplished by running as fast as possible up to their bunker, then as u run past, turning and while still running, shooting ur opponent.

This is hard b/c, other opposing players may see u, so u need to time the run when they won't be looking. Or the guy u hope to bunker might peek out and get you.

Make sure your backmen are laying down lots of cover for you. Oh and dont bunker early in the game, thats the most retarted thing to do ever. You will only accomplish MAYBE tagging one opponent out, and then proceed to be pelted ten thousand times by the rest of his team.

Basically by bunkering, there is a 80% chance you are giving yourself up as well. I mean you ARE running past the opponents line the majority of the time, so where are you gonna stop at after you do a runthrough... on their side? Exactly.

So save it for when they have 1-3 players left and one (or more if your lucky) out will really cripple them.

if your bunkering it doesnt allways mean running close to the bunker and firing, it could also be stopping at a bunker and going around the sides or top to shoot the opponet at the same bunker.

yeah, it's basically a shot from close range. So, all variations of it can be included.

To bunker someone you just run past or up to their bunker and shoot them at close range...< if you understand that...

Yeah but there's some good ways to avoid getting hit you should know.

Run straight foward into his bunker, this will reduce your chance of getting hit on your way there. Than dart out the side he's not shooting out. Shoot him, and if there's anyone left on his team get behind a bunker fast. Presuming you didn't already get lit up.

It takes balls to bunker someone, don't be afraid.

and dont try to bunker anyone in a one on one game unless ur sure they wont see it coming....you'll just get counter bunkered

You could always pull a dead mans walk but be perpared to be bounesd ball. Ok a dead mans walk is when your not really out and you walk down the side like you are. When you get to the end you turn around and shoot the other team since you would be on there side.

Pulling a dead mans walk is highly frowned upon, you start walking, people think your out, i hope your ass gets lit up next time your out, so they make sure your out.

now, most fields will use a "surrender" rule to stop bunkering. Since it doesn't feel to good getting shot from close up. Normally the rule says that if u are w/ in 10ft a the guy u wish to bunker, u can call out "surrender" and he will be out. A variation of this is the "bunker tap" where u may not run by and shot the players in that bunker. U instead must run up and tap the bunker w/ ur barrel. This makes all the players in that bunker out.

This is done for safty, and to make it a little more fun for the rec. players. I used the surrender in a game today, ran up and popped around gun up saying "surrender, surrender" people will usually agree to being out, since they know u have the advantage since u've run up.

Make sure to not expose urself to much when u do the surrender. Or they might shot u.
