Pods and Pod Packs

Im looking into getting a few pods and a pod pack. now the question is which version do I want. I will be playing both Bush and indoor (speedish) ball so i need versitility. The most common one I could find was the style with the pods vertical, but that seems to be a bad idea as you have to reach further to get a pod then you would if they are lined horizontaly. Most of the horizontal packs also have a space for an Air tank which I do not plan to get at the moment. So would the vertical style be alright and Im thinking to much into this or should I go with a horizontal style and just have the tank pouch empty. Would a pod attached horizontaly hinder to much movement?

go with a vertical styled pod pack. the horizontal ones are small and cheap. nxe makes good packs. try http://www.xpaintball.com/pouchar.html then http://www.xpaintball.com/nxepapropakh.html

If your wondering why the link doesn't show up, it's because we're not allowed to post links other than www.xpaintball.com because they pay for our hosting fees.

NXe 3 pack is only $10 actually, and its a decent pack. it even has elastic bands at the top to help push the pod into your hand, rather than you trying to pull out a pod hopelessly stuck in its holder...

I have a Dye attack pack, used, but not abused, 4+ - it can carry 8 pods total. I will sell it to you for $25 bucks shipped.

Depending how much you are shooting on your gun that deternine how many slot you need. If you want your harness to come with pods then go for the joey pack for 40 bucks or so. Most pod companys wont offer pods with the harness. My friends have got them and they work fine for them. But if your just looking for the harness and get pods seprate, go for Nxe or the 05 proto with the ejecting strap (so the pod come out a little easyer to grab it)..

the proto packs are good, the ejectors help push the pod into your hand when you reach for it. Nxe makes good packs, and so does extreme rage.

As for pods, read my post on pods here

compare contrast some major pods

As far as packs I have 3...an older extreme rage pack...cheap but it works for practice
a JT Slam...the horizontal kind...I kind of like it...
and a Empire 5+4...god knows this is the most comfortable pack on the face of this earth....I love it to death...
