Spyder Xtra Q?

Been playing Paintball for bout' 2 weeks now. lol- I bought a Spyder Xtra and noticed when I shoot that it tends to drop to the right after bout 40 ft. I was curious if this was normal at this distance or what? I know that a ball will drop after certain distances but was interested to know if this was normal or not?

Any tips/advice would really help!!

Thanks!

The ball will drop depending on what velocity you are shooting at. If it seems unnatural it could be a result of your gun putting top spin on the ball that causes it to drop unnaturally. I shoot an Xtra and have never had that problem, but I use a J&J ceramic barrel. If you don't have an aftermarket barrel as of yet you may want to invest in one. You may also just have some moisture in your barrel from broken paint or something which is causing friction on the ball and putting spin on it that way. Just some suggestions.

Check the velocity, it should be around 275-300 fps. If the velocity is good then it could be cheap paint that your shooting. If the velocity is good and your shooting good paint, then I would invest in a barrel. Get a Smart Parts Teardrop for $40. It will be the best thing for your gun you can buy, besides nitro.

Another reason could be that as the paintball loses power the wind has more of an effect on it. If the wind was blowing to your right it will effect the paintballs path.

Just check the other reasons that Angered Fists brought up aswell.
