New to the game.
Im new to the sport. I was just curious if the Omen was a good "marker" to get, for a begginer. Im looking for a fast firing upgradable marker. Any suggestions or tips would be very much appreiciated.

u will need a nitrogen tank to use a omen. A good nitrogen tank is $180 new. Sure u still want a omen?
If so, i can tell u more about the gun.

the omen is a decent gun. It requires nitrogen, and the new 1.5 omen is the best yet. It has a good anti-chop system which has been made easier to use. The regulator is comes w/ it also pretty decent. we tend to not like it b/c for the price better can be had. It also can be a little to complex for the begining player, since there are a few adjustements that must be fine tuned. But if u can read a manuel (most ppl can't), u should be fine.

I would reccomend a spyder or a tippy for a couple reasons.
The number one reason is you need to learn that it is not just about the gun, it's the skill and the marker.
The second reason is you need to buy other equipment
Just buy a cheap marker so you don't have to worry about nitrogen and all that and you can get more experience before actually spending an ass load on a gun.

Yea the 05 imagine would be a better choice in my opinion, its a simple low maintenance gun, you dont need to spend a lot of money on a nitro tank or a fast hopper.

For a beginner, an ION is not a good choice. Different parts, o-rings, boards, all that stuff. He's just starting, he needs a low-end gun so he can gain skill and learn how to actually fix his own marker. I'd say either get a Tippy or a Spyder

Not many upgardes have been made for the Ion YET. In a couple of months we'll be flooded with them, right now their just trying to sell them. But I know for a fact the barrel and plastic cover's can be upgraded right now. Different plastic covers will be out soon too, some that you can actually design your own and they'll make it for you.

Barrel, Feedneck, Reg, Unimount/Drop, QEV's if you wanna call that standard, grips. Those are all standard upgrades, along with the body decal kits which are one of a kind.
I would have to say to start with an 05 Imagine though. Get a 20oz tank and a 12 Volt Revolution hopper. Perfect starter kit. Then pick up a nice pair of goggles, JT is probably your best bet. You'll slowly learn more and want more.
Welcome to paintball.
