Pb Virgin
greetings pb'ers
a little help plz. never played b4. i've been interested for a while now, and finally found a few companions who pb occassionally (not sure of the spelling) anyway they play in the woods, all for recreation, maybe if i like it i'll play speed from time to time. so i'm debating which will be my first gun. i went from the 98c camo to the ion to the angel( wayyy out of the budget) figure 200- 300 bucks. any and all suggestions will be appreciated.

yes! Go out and lose your virginity man! It's the best. Gettin' hit don't hurt much. For havin' so much fun there's gotta be a little bad part. Don't worry about gettin' hit though. Get a Tippmann. They can be modified for speedball and are perfect for woodsball/recreation. So go ut and lose your virginity man!

out of the guns you listed get the ion.. cheep, fast,
tipman is very long.. hard to stay in cover, slow, can be made fast but that is jus more money...
angel is way overpriced, there are alot of gun in the same catagorey that cost a fraction of a angel

Ion, no more questions. Quick, light, small, and if you get black, easily hidden in the woods.

Definelty the ion...youll be able to lay paint quick enough in the woods...and its smaller...and lighter then a tippmann....and its perfect for speedball. The only thing being Ive heard they're hard to clean...

Yep you have to break 2 air links before you can get to the bolt.
But other then that it's a great gun.

i think the ion is out of his range here guys. Since it needs HPA to run well and a good hpa tank is $200.
If ur friends play at a field then rent a gun and play w/ them, make sure u like and enjoy this sport enough to not mind dropping maybe $300 total on gear.
A spyder would be a good gun also, they are smaller then a 98c and shoot much faster. Pretty easy maintnace also.
I'd recommend as a good setup
spyder imagine $109
reloader II $50
flex 7 $50
20oz co2 $20

Yes, rent or borrow at the very least once before you buy anything. In the event you don't like playing you won't have spent enough money to be sorry.
And don't cheap out on the mask, if you do start buying stuff. Cheap masks tend to fog up, and if you can't see it really doesn't matter what gun you're toting around.

If you're just going to be playing occasionally, don't get an ion or Angel. I'd say get the Tippy for a Spyder Imagine, both are good guns, that can run on C02, so you won't have to buy a N2 tank.

Actually depending on the electro there can be more than 3 settings, some have:
Semi- 1 pull 1 shot
Ramping- adds shots after a predetemined BPS or # of trigger pulls
Burst- each pull fires a predetermined number of shots
Reactive- Fires on pull and release of trigger
Full-auto
Breakout- Full Auto first shot then a different firing scheme thereafter
And there can be more depending on the software of the gun/board you have.
Also wouldn't say it breaks easier- I have played in some heavy, heavy storms with my Timmy, crawling through mud, ect. and it was OK
Also not all electros are harder to clean, some are actually easier.
I would list as a possible con (depending on your budget) the increase in paint consumption- its easier to fire faster so you will.

I would go with an electric unless you're going to be playing woodsball.

Forget it kid, dont get a gun until you've played 3 times. Rent 3 times. Every time you go, walk to teh chrony and ask someone if you can hold their gun, or maybe shoot it.
