dear god, do NOT get the quantum-it's worthless and does not really outpreform a gravity hopper: basically get a revvy or reloader II.
u forgot pods :P

^^ya, I really want this gun...anyway, can someone help me out on the barrel?
also, is this too much to spend for a beginner? Should I maybe go with an Imagine or is this good?

ur opinion won't make or break wat I do but I would like your thoughts

dont go for looks on a barrel, you should go for performance.
If you want a Teardrop, a Progressive is a better choice. its about $10 less just because it has different milling.

First of all, the gun you want and the spyder imagine are basically the same thing. They have the same eternals(except for the bolt) since it's an ACS bolt. The outsides just look different. If you want to spend the extra money, get the pilot, but personally, I would save the money to buy nitro. The Spyder Pilot ACS and the Spyder Imagine are basically the same guns. All spyders are all basically the same.

^this is mostly true. The pilot does however have a faster board w/ a 20bps cap instead of 14bps. Now, does this matter to u. Well w/ the stock microswitch in there u won't be going really fast. But put in a 50gram switch and BAM ur off baby! So if u have really quick fingers then get the pilot and put in a lighter switch.
That driver barrel is WAY to much, get the AA by sp. The freak jr. is probably the best barrel out of those (but i bet u could find a used spyder threaded freak (not the jr) for the same price)
I'd get a 12volt revvy or a reloader II over a halo led. B/c those specific oddosey hoppers use a tilt sensor to determine when to feed, and well....that just isn't the best way.
It's all up to YOU on how much is reasonable to spend, all that matters is u are happy and enjoy your gear. (i'd recommend shooting ur spyder w/ teh stock barrel for like 200rounds then put on the new barrel so u really see the difference)
He doesn't need HPA, co2 is not that bad on the gun, and if he maintaines it, things will be okay.

You're nuts, those two barrels are SP's cheap productions meant to suck in cheapo paintball players. They'll break just as much paint as any other cheap barrel. The All Americans aren't meant for looks at all, they're meant for great performance at an affordable price, and boy do they deliver!

ok ok...here is wat I am probly gonna do now:
Marker- Spyder Imagine
Hopper- VL eVolution II
Barrel- unsure (either All-American or Evil Driver)
Harness- Evil 4+3 w/ Dye Pods
Air- 20 oz CO2 or 2 x 12 oz CO2 (will eventually get N2)
Paintballs- Core Action 2000 balls
is that alrite? what are som other upgrades I should do for fairly cheap? Should I get a new T-Board with eyes? How much would that be? Remember, I am a beginner so I won't notice every little thing

look man, ur getting just way to detailed on all of this. Worry about the basics. U don't need a pack or new barrel the first time u play. Hell, part of the joy is slowly upgrading and noticing how each upgrade effects the gun.
Myself, i HATE evolution IIs (we call them eggs), but that is a good setup u have there. If u want to get the egg, ur the one who will use it. I'd get the AA over the driver (it's overpriced at $70)
Don't bother w/ a t-board unless u LOVE ur spyder.
