Pirahna EVO
Hello guys and gals,
My son 13 is ready to buy this gun because a friend of his has it and swears by it. He currently has a Spyder. Anyway I read that CO2 with this gun does not work well. I am trying to avoid having to buy him an N2 tank ($60+).
So with that said if we're going to end up spending up to $300 is the EVO the best gun for that price range? He is not on a squad and plays maybe once a month. I'm sure the new gun will make him play more. He wants a gun that is sensitive and will shoot fast and accuately. Any good recommendations...
Dad in crosshairs
Ps : I am holding back his purchase until we research a little more

Diablo wrath $259
Anti-siphoned co2 $45
Viewloader revolution $45
An anti-siphon will help to prevent liquid co2 from entering the gun and this damaging it plus the wrath's solenoid is protected against low temperatures.

But not against all the crap that comes with co2.
Anyway, the evo is just like his spyder, except that it's electronic (assuming that your son's current gun isn't electronic), and it has eyes (to prevent the bolt from coming forward onto a ball before it's fully loaded). It will run fine on co2.

actually, sometimes u can get dirty air from co2. Which isn't good for o-rings.
another option (rather then buying a new gun) is getting a t-board (which has eyes, and is very fast) a new 50gram microswitch, and maybe a regulator.

True but o-ring are also easily replaced. But a t-board would be better.

No. There's dirt. Dirt is not good for a solenoid. It kills more than just o-rings.

He'll need to buy an e-grip before he gets all that. He didn't say, but I don't get the feeling that it's an e-spyder.

if he already has an E-spyder or even a spyder, an evo is not a good upgrade, you can make a spyder better with about 100 bucks worth of upgrades.
If he really really wants a new gun in that price range, the Smart Parts ION is $299 and is alot better than an Evo.

thank you croix i definantly agree but he would need HPA to run on it or you could use anti-siphon but thats not reccomened. i would say if he wants a faster marker he should put an eframe on it( assuming his gun isnt electronic) and if he wants it even faster then get a t-board. if you want more information on the t-board or eframe then pm me and i can give you some sites that have them for cheap.

man u guys really do have trouble w/ "no hpa" No hpa=no bko, ion, and maybe no wrath.
So the best route is to up the spyder he has. Unless it's not a electonic spyder, in which case...i dunno.

The evo is pretty much an e-spyder, but it does have eyes, which is an advantage, and it doesnt have any problems running off of co2. So if he really wants a new gun it is not a bad way to go, it will just not be too much better than an e-spyder.
