What gun for my bro?

Hey, I know this is in the wrong section but I was getting no replys in the right one. hehe

Ok, my brother is new and we play woodsball. He wants to get a marker package (CO2, Mask, Marker, etc....) But he doesn't want to buy a Tippman like what I have. He says thats just more than he wants to spend. (He doesn't go enough to want to spend a lot of money on it.
Anyway, he wants to spend around $160 USA (or for us since we're canadian, around $200.) He was looking at the Icon Z. (This is the link to where he wants to get it http://www.canadianpaintball.com/main/packages/icon.htm)

But I dont know if thats a good gun for woodsball. Any ideas?

i would just go ahead and get it. doesnt really matter right now since this is probably his first gun. it will last him a year or two and then maybe if he loves our beautiful sport then he will upgrade.

nice avatar.........

if you're looking at the icon z, also consider the spyder imagine.. it's pretty much the same thing, and you could find an imagine basically brand new off ebay for EXTREMELY CHEAP.. they work great, and would be perfect for someone like him who doesnt want to spend too much money

I think you're getting the icon versions mixed up. Icon-E is the electronic icon marker with those firing modes.

Icon-z is the mechanical version.

*edit*

the canadian pb site says it has firing modes, yet that would be impossable. probably a mistake.

I really would suggest looking for a used Tippmann. You can get a used 98 Custom with all the necessary equipment pretty cheap.

he's smart...lol jk

tippmanns are great for woodsball, another option would be to look for a spyder xtra package. or is it the tlx that is now a package...whatever, a mech spyder package.

Tippman or an imagine. May try buying stuff separately instead of a package. Just look around at different websites and you can probably find better stuff cheaper separately than in a package.
