Gun for my brother.
My brother just started playing paintball with my and my freinds at a local field. He has rented a gun past times hes been. Hes ready to step up and get his own gun. I told him to get this Spyder Imagine gun package that includes everything he needs to play. He has been looking at the Smart Parts Ion. He is willing to spend the xtra money for the gun. But is there a reason he should? Since we dont play more then 2-3 times a month, should he spend xtra for it or stick with the cheaper price but effective Spyder. Or anything else under 200 that would be better?

Are you the one who i was talking to on AIM. If so id go with the Imagine for his first gun. People have been having so many problems with the ion when its their first gun. Imagine all the way!

yeah get the imagine pack for first gun. that would be wierd to start off with a high end gun when its your first. he should learn with a spyder first.

yea imagine, cuz with an ion...u are gonna need to spend more money on a hpa tank and a decent hopper. with the imagine though, dont upgrade more than the barrel. I made the mistake on my 98C of over-upgrading and now i want an ion.(just finished the mods 3 weeks ago)

If he is able to pay for a decent HP tank and a fast hopper, i would say the ion so he wont have to spend more money getting one later if he decides to up to another marker. However since it sounds like you guys are just playing some fun rec ball and arent too serious about things i would say go with the imagine, it will be alot cheaper to get and is a perfect starter gun.

Plus, you can mod the hell out of the imagine, get a tboard, a fast hopper, whatever you wanna do because you play rec...like me...and just do it for fun and not the prizes.

get the imagine cuz it is a electric-mechanichal and the ion is electro-pneumatical. so the imagine is a whole lot easier to feild strip and is a whole lot more simple than the ion is.
