Ramping is when you have a board programmed a certain way. It's like if you have it set so when you hit 12 bps, it will kick it up to shoot 15 bps, even though your fingers are still shooting 12.

its when you shoot a certain bps and the board kicks in and gives you extra bps (ex shooting 8 it kicks in to 15) so basically its when you are shooting faster than your fingers are going (very basically)

All those are right and but you forgot NXL cheater boards. After taking 3 shots you automatically start shooting 15 bps full auto.

My shop owner told me ramping is not when your gun like goes higher bps, he said its when your gun gets "hotter" and starts shooting at higher FPS.

That's dwell ramping. The faster you shoot the higher the dwell goes. Dwell means delay, in this case meaning the time the valve stays open. The longer the valve is open, the more air goes behind the ball, meaning higher FPS.

Oh yeah thats what i thought. :| haha, anyway, yeah the ramping your talking about is the Gun taking over ramping. Thats not illegal in everything, its just making your gun think that your shooting it as fast as your pulling the trigger but your not.

ramping is when you hold a certain bps and your gun "ramps" up to a certain higher bps, in ramping it makes your gun think ur firing faster than u really are.

example- you hold 7 bps the gun will "ramp" up to 19 bps

Yeah thats the only ramping i heard of. I knew there was bps ramping and stuff, and Fps ramping, but like that dwell Fps ramping sucks if your the person being hit by it.

would a gun come stock with dwell ramping? not like the mode or anything but like if i start ramping on my gun the dwell wont automatically change and make my gun shoot like 315fps will it? just to make sure i am not makin some noob start bleeding and never play again.
