typos like "painball"... is that a reflection of your unconscious?
1. Go to any field, you'll be set up with a group of rec ballers no problem. You can gain plenty of experience that way.
2. Tippmann 98c, hands down. Durable, reliable, upgradeable, you couldn't ask for more.
3.Marker, mask, and i recommend kneepads.
4. Do you mean skill-wise? I imagine not at all, the pellets and balls don't fly the same.
5. No.

Just go join some guys that are already playing up at your local field. Their not going to reject you. Everyone was a newb once.
2. What gun do you would you reccomend for some woodsey, some speedball games (basically versitile) that is under $200 bucks?
Spyder Imagine.
3. What is some minimum gear that I would need if I were to show up at a paintball even so when someone would look at me they wouldn't think I'm a noob and have no clue what I am doing?
Mask. Gloves...*maybe if wanted*. Cleats would help also.
4. How well does airsoft transfer over to paintball, I've heard mixed things...
You still get welts, Paintballs go faster than airsoft b b's and they hurt more.
5. Do you know of any paintball camps or leagues in the state of Washington? (I tried googleing it but no results).
No idea man.
Thanks for your help

1. Not necessarily, most airsoft players that I know of have something against paintball due to the tank and the hopper and the fact the guns don't tend to look as "realistic" although there are some out there. Just go to a paintball field and try out recball or woodsball you'll fit in fine.
2. That varies. The tippmann 98 custom is a very reliable gun and was my first, very easy to maintain. The spyders are also nice (the electric ones) and you can get them for under 200 dollars.
3.Depends what your playing. A lot of recballers/woodballers tend to wear camoflouge or thicker clothing so the paint "bounces" therefore your not considered out.
4. Once again this varies. I've heard that some of the cheaper airsoft guns have a lower velocity but some of the higher end guns (like the sniper rifles) tend to go about 550 fps. A paintball is bigger than a pellet so regardless of it going slower it will still leave a welt and you will feel it. The guns won't look like your in a real war but fun nevertheless and paintball seems to be much more widely available.
5. No idea, I live in the sunshine state.

Ya for your marker I was thinking of both the markers that were already posted lol. Either the Spyder Imagine or Tippman 98 Custom. They are both great for rec ball.

1.So, I buy a gun, then what? Do I have to convert all of my friends from airsoft to paintball or are their leagues to join where I can go from a noob to a pretty good player. You can convert your friends, but there are also leagues in which you can join or create a team.
2. What gun do you would you reccomend for some woodsey, some speedball games (basically versitile) that is under $200 bucks? Spyder Imagine
3. What is some minimum gear that I would need if I were to show up at a paintball even so when someone would look at me they wouldn't think I'm a noob and have no clue what I am doing? Mask, marker, paintballs, hopper, tank, knowledge
4. How well does airsoft transfer over to paintball, I've heard mixed things... Alright, not as much of militaristic stuff anymore in paintball even though there are many woodsballers and scenario players.
5. Do you know of any paintball camps or leagues in the state of Washington? (I tried googleing it but no results). No

Yea, I used to play airsoft but that wasn't really fun. Paintball is much more of an adrenaline rush.
