Paintball Gun Oil
I have a spyder rodeo and need some decent gun oil for it. I went t Academy Sports and outdoors but the only thing they had was hoppes #9 lubicating oil (orange bottle). I was also told that air compressor oil from a hardware store was good? Will either of these work decently? If so which one is better? Lastly would the hoppes # 9 hurt the gun (would it be better to play a few games wihtout oil or use the hoppes?)

im not totally sure, but i think the hoppes #9 will serve you well.
before you use it, wait for another post.

Only use paintball designed gun oil. Real gun oil will mess up the o-rings. I'm not sure about the # 9 hoppes stuff

yeah but you could submerge a tippy in a pool of tar, and it would still shoot... for a rodeo i suggest shocker grease or dye slick lube, or that pmi marker oil you can get a miejer.

Hoppes gun oil is corrosive on the o-rings, although I have used it on spyders in the past when I had nothing else.

Weird, its usually only $1.50 at my store. 
Hoppes no9 will work fine. I used it on my piranha for a while.
