I'm having trouble convincing my mom to let me buy a paintball gun. I've worked and worked for money to spend on one, but they just say NO. I'm trying to make my mom read the convcing parents article, and she won't even pick it up (I printed it out). My cousions are comming in soon, and we have 20 acres of property at my cabin and I'd like to play up there with them (2 cousions, one uncle to play) and also play here in the mountains. What else can I do? I printed out the injurie reports thing also, but she wont even look. She thinks its to "dangerous", but I even showed her a mask at walmart... What can I do now?

Printed it with the convincing article thing, she won't look at it either. There is gonna be a guy with a dozer on our 20 acre property here ina few weeks, he coulda dozed me a place to set up a field

well if she won't even read stuff and won't listen to you theres not much hope... if you have a dad ask him... if not ask your uncle or cousins to talk tp her... she might listen to them... lastly memorize the statistics and just keep repeating them to her... if she cares about you enough to try to keep you from doin somethin she thinks is dangerous she should care enough to listen if you keep on talking about it...

this is what worked for me: i told my mom it would make me appreciate how it feels to get shot by a real gun by feeling the "pain" of getting hit by a paintball. just tell her that she doesnt have to worry about u having her buy ur stuff or that ur not going to kill anyone or anything. just say it is a privelage and all that crap.

wut about ur dad? ask him. tell them that it will give u excersise and meet new friends and crap

Tell your mom its only paintball. Its not going to kill you (if you wear proper protection) Paintballs are made of latex, vegetable oil, and foodcoloring. And do not hurt. Download some paintball movies off the internet, have her look at them. And tell her, its better than drugs and playing with real guns.

A paintball can't kill you. EVen if you dont wear a mask, it probably wont kill you. You get shot in teh eye and it pops, you can die from bleeding or rotting eye socket or something, but a paintball wont kill you.

Well, the problem is dad said hell no lol. I'm wanting to build a small field up at my cabin (20 acres) to play capture the flag with my 2 cousions and uncle and probaly my other uncles friend. But mom just wont listen and I'm afraid to ask dad anymore... I mean, my god, the paint washs off, i even showed her a full head mask... :|

oh and dad thinks it costs to much money. Omg, I'm working my ass off getting money myself to buy the stuff, and they complain? Like, $5 to fill up a 20 oz tank, I mean thats gonna last for a long time when I have like 3 tanks and won't be playing much, and paintballs are only like $40 for 2000 and that will last me a very long time... Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze...

I had my dentist (lol) talk to her the other day. She still says no, but her 16 year old goes paintballin'. Her friend talked to her also, saying that her sons church does it, but its still no. Shes comming up with every excuse in the world for some damn reason.

I don't have a paintball marker though and there is no local fields around. I realy just wanna play with my friends up in the mountains or up at my cabin, since alot of them have markers.. Hmm...

Seems like you have tried everything, try having a family meeting, call your mom and father to the table and go over every aspect of it make them listn and make them discuss, give your input and listn to their input. Dont yell and dont get frustrated, always be calm and civil.

wow, looks like you're in a pretty tough situation there.. just keep trying, and showing them how strongly you feel about it and they'll probably listen or break eventually just so you'll stop bothering them... also, how old are you??? because age helps a little bit when it comes to secretly buying a gun if you so feel the need... :-P
