no smart parts isnt better.... there not better at any thing except for killing e-mags... damn those basterds. ramping on a spyder is rather pointless dont do it. plus if you play rec and you get caught ramping some field owners dont take nicly to taht. if you have the money go for the promaster if not get a spyder

hey i just wanna say that my spyder fenix is ok i had a couple lil problems even with the acs i still chopped quite a lot more than my victor but when it was on a roll i was stomping all the other guns

Despite what many say, the Ion is a good gun. Not the best in its class, but a good gun nonetheless.

The R6 does not suck either. It may be only a low end gun, but through my experiences with many low end guns, it is the best of them all! That is backed up be using 4 different other low end guns too. Victor, TL-X, and Orion. The R6 is WAY better than all three of these. So it may "suck" compared to an Ion, but it is quite good for its class type.

ive been thinking about putting the pics of the ion and the dmc on this forum... just i have to borrow my friends digital camera.

I WOULD GET THE ION

ION > promaster the promaster is ok... personaly i dont like it... but thats up to you. i wouldent call the ION a starter marker... at all when you put even small work into them they compete with more expensive markers.
