New Player looking for advice
Hey Guys. Been trolling around this forum to get some details on putting together a kit to go out and start playing. I went once with a group and used a rental spyder my first time out so now I'm hooked. I am looking to do both woodsball and speedball. Budget wise I am looking to spend around $500 for the essentials; Gun, hopper, mask, gear, etc.
So far I have come up with this list. Please let me know where I am wrong or need to make any corrections to get me on the path of welts, bruises and overall merryment, :P. Or let me know if this is too overboard for my first gun and setup.
Spyder Imagine 05
Viewloader Revoltion 12v w/x board
J&J 14" Ceramic Barrel
Dye Invision Thermal Goggles
20oz Co2
Should I do anything about upgrading the feed neck or is the stock one good enough to use with the Revy hopper?
Is there anything else I should be thinking of.
Thanks in advance for the feedback all.

i say stay with that choice for now and dont upgrade anyhting but the barrell then save up for HPA, faster hopper and then a new gun (thats if u want to exceed in paintball) if u want to keep the spyder though u can get new bolt new feedneck new asa new barrell kit ect

That looks great. I figured since u said 500 dollars u were gonna have like a halo up there and cocker and stuff like that. But that will do u just fine. And if u have a lil money extra i would say buy a pack but all in all it looks good.

You should defenitely upgrade the feedneck to at least a slip on adaptor. Check IT makes one and they go for like $15. http://xpaintball.com/checitprodsp.html

Thanks for all the feedback guys.
Yeah on the barrel issue, I figured I would go for a good barrel right from the get go. I will also probably upgrade the feed neck.
My first experiences with the rental spyder was that I had a few chopped balls and that I had issues getting it to feed right. But hey it's a rental, so what did I expect.
Also, I found that being a newb, my play style lent itself to more of a bunker player. But that also comes from being out there the first time. However, I did find that I like to shoot a lot of paint, heh.
What do you guys recommend for a good harness that has good capacity, comfort, and ease of use. I don't want something I'm gonna have to reach around, unfold Velcro, unfold a flap, remove a pod, and repeat, heh.
And on the Hpa issue, i figured I would start out with Co2 and then move up after I got more into it.
Thanks again guys. Great forum and good advice from all yall. See ya on the field.

Don't use the term trolling.
Get an hpa tank before upgrading your gun.

Sounds like a good setup to me. I agree with Ellis about the hpa before upgrading your marker.
As with everyone else saying it, you will have money left over.

Yeah Sorry, bad term. I meant it more of the "fishing for info" and not the negative connotation derived from "trolling" on message boards.
