I've been looking at guns for some time now. I'm new to paintball, I've played 4 times. My son has an ION (which is nice). I keep looking at the Evil Omen 2.0 . I've heard that the older Omen had problems, and the new improved Omen 2.0 has the bugs worked out. It's in my price rage and I've looked at the Wrath, the Spyder Electra 05, the ION and the 04 Vert. Autococker, but I keep going back to the Omen 2.0. Does anyone have any experience the this gun that could shed some light on it.
Also, one more question. How important is it to have eyes on a gun?

Personally after having a gun with eyes i would never go back to one without it. They help out a lot. Ive heard alot of good things about the omen, like that it is fast, new feedneck is faster, a bunch of stuff.

definatly go for the ion
the omen is just a upped spyder blowbak gun with annoyin recockin system
ions is electro pneu wit little kick, rampin, upgradeable and predator commin out

you my friend are an idiot. The omen is electro-pneumatic and there is nothing wrong with the omen a long as you read the instruction manual. The thing i like about the omen is the cam feed system and that the 1.5 board is good and cheap. I would not go with the 05 electra because it is not electro- pneumatic. The prostock is a good choice but the only problem is that cockers are harder 2 maintain if you dont have any experience with them. The 2 guns you should look into are the b2k4 W/PDS or the omen. Go 2 your lockal field and test them both then choose which ever one you like more.

i would take an ion over an omen... ive shot both and i feel that the ion suits me more... before buying try using both and see wat u like better. ion has more aftermarket products and is more reliable then the omen IMO

One advantage of the Omen 2 is it comes with upgraded parts, like the regulator, barrel and board.

I would not go for the Electra....no electronic eyes unless you buy an upgrade board and have a drill press at home.

Eyes are good to have...all high-end markers have them. They essentially help the marker consistently shoot faster.

For once I agree w/ Ellis, for about $380 you can get a much better gun than any of those choices you listed. You wouldn't really need any upgrades immediately either, besides a simple ASA which you can get for $20 or less.
