Thats a pretty old gun. The older spyders are unreliable, but if you can get it for cheap it'd be alright.

The fact is that millitary tatics and paintball is that they're different. Paintballs dont' fly straight, yet you can shoot faster.

In paintball, there's no huge problem with being shot, youre' not going to die..therefore you take more risks and move more.

I've got a question: is the spyder vs1 any good for woodsball? Can you play with it in the rain. If you can then that'd be my choice.

Good for woodsball, definitely. Can you use it in the rain? Yes you can. I wouldn't try it in a monsoon, but a light rain it'll be just fine.

Thanks. However, is the vs1 still commonly available? I can't find it anywhere, not even on the spyder website. Am I missing something?

for starting out I am currently looking at the Spyder RSX has anyone seen/used this gun? I would appreciate any information because for me I am from Canada so the spyders are the least expensive guns around thanks for any input.

On actionvillage.com they have it new for $130 they should have it on ebay too.

Actionvillage: Spyder VS1 Paintball Gun - Olive at ActionVillage.com : Paintball

Ebay: Spyder VS1 Electronic Marker Gun Paintball Blue Set A - eBay (item 390037710201 end time Apr-14-09 19:52:11 PDT)

and on the color of the vs1 the "blue" is purple

Pretty sure it can. But im going to tell you right now, it doesn't work unless your target is about less than 50 feet from you.
Scopes of any kind are useless, they are only for the mil sim look.

I've been eyeing a Tippman A5 package for awhile now.. but after reading a previous post about tippmann and BT I think I'm going to go with the BT. It's a shame the tread got closed from immaturity..

Looking at either 98c or Spyder Sonix or Pilot. All are packages. Kinda short on money now. Any recommendations??
