C)"FASTER." There are regulations at fields for a reason, man. How fast a gun shoots is irrelevant, because you can't just shoot as fast as you want. Also, if you meant "Faster" in a bps point of view, why would you really need "faster" than 13 bps. Any higher, unless you are a backman, is quite a waste of paintballs, in my opinion. Sure, the Ion might be more efficient and lighter, but does it really, honestly look like I care? I'm trying not to flame anyone here, but my A5 really is actually fine for any kind of play. It might not be as light as an Ion, but they do compare in size. Put a 68/45k and full Halo on an Ion, youve got a pretty stinkin big gun.

Sorry dude, but cyclone is a POS. Being able to shoot past 13 is the only way your gonna make it in speedball, you will find this out when your done hiding in the woods. You can't play psp because thats 15bps. Some guns shoot 20+ oh well, its not gonna stop man. I think you are talking yourself in a circle.
You shouldn't have put more than a barrel on your tippmann, because you are not gonna get half that on the resale for the price you paid for it.

I went looking for guns today, thinking i was going to get back into taking up the sport, and just wanted to know your opinions of the WGP Trilogy guns. There is a starter kit for $280 which has the gun, mask, tank (small one), etc; and a gun & mask kit for 220. I read in the appraisal section that autocockers have a **** resale but that doesn't really bug me.
They also have Tippmans for around $180 but i remember not liking my friend's ProAm back when i played about 10 years ago.
I don't want to get anything with electronics just because of the fact don't want to have to replace any of that crap after it gets knocked around and something craps out.
The only place that sells paintball guns that are worth a **** (ie,not brass eagle) is a sporting goods store just up the street from me.
*EDIT*

this is the starter kit i was talking about.

Do not get the trilogy guns, they are terrible. If i were you i would get a tippman custom pro w/ empire reloader 2, 16 oz CO2 tank, and a good mask(just look around for one in your price range, but make sure that it is thermal.)

i was hoping to avoid a Tippman.
Do stores these days let you take a few shots as demo or is it pretty much a crap shoot nowadays?

well if you go to your local sporting goods stores than no, but if you have a local pb shop than they should let you shoot some guns. Another option is to just get a spyder w/ some ups

Meh, i'd say get a spyder imagine. Even though it is electronic. I know you don't want one, but it's no big deal to work on em, just some electronics here and there don't matter. But if you are sure you don't want an electro gun, get a spyder xtra/rodeo/victor 2/TLX.

Ok, found a pball shop here and checked everything out.
Spyder Rodeo, mask, hopper, 9oz CO2 for 180 and some change. Little less than what i thought i'd be spending. I think i'm going to go get it next week after payday

thats an okay deal, you could get a better deal online with used stuff, but if you dont have a credit card, or just dont wanna buy online, then go for it. and you might want to get a bigger hopper, unless you like filling up your tank pretty often.

I'm going to get a bigger CO2 tank a little later on. I might actully switch to HPA not long after. I just don't know at this point how often i'm going to be going out. The sporting good store across the street has 4K paintballs for like 60 bucks. Not the best quality i'm sure, but i don't need to be buying Marblizer paint at this point.

I ahve a question, are speedball guns aka. spyder imagine's, any worse at woods ball than a tippmann 98c? I know you have to be a bit nicer to them but im thinking range nd firepower here
