well my 98 custom which is stock is shredin balls left and right! not only that but it shots them out and it curves worse than a ****in roger clemens pitch. i think it's the ball latch that trowin the ball off but i have no idea what to do. can anyone tell me wtf to do plz. thanks

better barrel. That worked out for me. Also, since you play woodsball, make sure you don't have any crap inside the gun.

i turned down the velocity and i bought a smartparts progressive barrel it still chops them to hell before they leave the gun.

All I can suggest is remove the bolt and look straight through the inside of the reciever and check for any tiny piece of anything. Barrels don't usually break balls left and right by the way....so that was never a problem, but cool that you got a good new barrel anyways. Velocity could have to do with it, but since you said you checked it then all I can figure is that there is a little shread of something in the way causing it to tear each ball or send it in a different direction every time.

this is probably the issue. firstly, try turning your velocity down. make sure your going DOWN, instead of up. next, try buying higher quality balls. no walmart crap. its worth nothing. buy something like PMI premiums (they work well in the progressive) and make sure that they are fresh. also clean your gun out and oil it.

ill have to open it but i shott draxxus midnight and blaze balls also i though the balls sat just in front of the ball latch before they are fired i figure illopen it anyway.

check the ball latch somtimes people have had sharp ones that cut the paint as it leaves

Draxxus midnights....ugg....I keep busting those balls in my gun all the time, get some better paint. I thought I got a sweet deal 10 bucks for 500 Draxxus midnights, I was wrong after like 50 chops i decided to get some new paint(actually its my local fields paint cant remember the name) what a difference, i still break the odd one or 2 once and a while but nothing big.

hmm draxxus midnights are pretty good so i don't see why they would break in your gun without it being something the gun is doing...midnights work fine in my electro

if your velocity is all the way up(no velocity screw) then buy one and out your gun down to like 250fps, that and buy a better barrel, 14" or 16" dont buy the flatline, they suck and are hard as crap to install

take out your barrel, clean it up, runa squeege through your gun, get some better paint.

and as we've failed to establish... the "ball latch" is actually called the ball detent...make sure yours isnt backwards... that chops balls...
