Is the paintball supposed to be able to reach the place where the paintball will be shot out from (place before the barrel). Or is there supposed to be a metal thing that is there (which might open up) that does not allow the paintball to reach the firing chamber when the paintball gun is not turned on or when it does not have the n2 tank turned on. I just want to make sure my paintball guns working before I take it onto the field and find out i cant use it. (smart parts ion imf 3000)

ah, ur ion's bolt is currently forward. As such the chamber will be blocked, so no balls can drop in. Attach ur air source though and the bolt will "cock" back. When u fire the bolt will move forward, send air to the ball, then return back.

u can not manuelly cock it back, it uses air to do so.
