letting the air out of the tank
How should i let the air out of my tank, because the tank doesnt have a pin or an on/off so i think it would be better to just take it out, but how would i do that when theres still n2/hpa in it. I have an ion, but i do have a max flo inline 4500 regulator with an on/off switch, would i damage my gun if i just turned the valve off and shoot out the air thats left inside the marker, and save my nitro? thanks

No, you wouldn't damage it, I don't think.

Just turn it off and shoot out the remaining air in the gun.

And if at the end of the day, you dont have much air left, I just dry fire it out. (Where i play its $5 for all day air, so if i dont have much left i just run it dry until next time)

yes, just shut off the air supply and the remaining air will not damage the tank or marker. just make sure to get the air out of the ion before storage. you may also notice the very slight reduction in pressure if you leave your nitro tank alone with air in it for a long time. this is normal. dont worry about it unless you can hear a leak.

Its no so great to empty out your tank. Tanks are best stored with some pressure in them. This keeps debri out. It doesn't have to be much pressure, but an airsmith will tell you to keep the tank pressurized.

well, i dont doubt that thats true, but maybe you could help me out then: I, like the original poster, have an Ion with a tank, but the tank itself does not have an on/off. Its connected to a MaxFlow inline, but i want to be able to take the tank off for dissasembly cleaning....
