Question ASA? what is it?

read this and tell me what an ASA is and if it is on a tippmann 98

Add the military look to any marker with a AK clip style expansion chamber.

Features:

-Allows the liquid CO2 in your tank to expand into a gas before it enters your gun, which will improve the gas efficiency of your marker
-Ensure long lasting internal o-rings, no more problems in cold weather or velocity spikes in hot weather
-Fits any marker with a standard ASA

An asa is where the co2 (or hpa) tank screws into the gun. Tippmanns have them, but putting an expansion chamber on is kinda wierd. You need something to make the asa be at the grip. I don't know what it's called, but some other people might.

yeah they do that on cheap spyders, dont even have foregrips. I dont know why you would want to put the tank where your handle is tho.

An ASA is a air source adaptor- anywhere you can attach a tank or a device with the same threads as a tank, like an expansion or regulator.

Tippmanns have one normally, under the grip. To have the vertical one in the grip you have to install a vertical adaptor. This allows you to either mount the tank vertical, or add an inline regulator or your expansion.

Reasons to mount the tank in the vertical position would be for balance, or to ensure that only gas CO2 gets into the marker, as the liquid would stay near the bottom of the marker. Or you can have a siphon tank mounted vertical to ensure you get nothing except liquid.
