gun for woodsball
i was thinkin of getting a Tac-5 recon, r they any good for woodsball, it would be my first gun, starting in spring ill be playing about everysunday so i need a good/cheap gun , this gun comes with, hopper,9oz co2 tank, mask, all camoed up too and its pretty cheap
so would that be a good gun for woods ball? but i might play speed ball every now and then too so i dont kno lol the most expensive gun i could get would be like a spyder E99 cuz id still have to buy the c02 and stuff.

I don't know much about the Tac-5, but you get could by with a 98C or an Imagine. You'd have to camo up the Imagine for woodsball, but that's no problem.
Have you shot the Tac-5 at all, or are you just looking at the price right now?

I understand not wanting the same thing everybody else has. That's just one the reasons I'm getting a Piranha. (not the only reason)
I suggest try your friend's Imagine. If you like it, get one. It's not about copying him, it's about starting with a good beginner's gun and the Imagine pretty much fits that.

As far as woodsball guns go, you can't really go wrong with a Tippmann.
The Tac5 Recon was made to go for the MilSim and realism market. As far as realism and MilSim go, the Tac5 is ugly.

The Tac-5 Recon isn't the best marker you can get for woodsball, the Imagine or the Tippman 98 Custom would probably be your best bet. Or that E-Force will work as well.

98c, or Imagine. Both alright for woodsball and a good price.

Ok then, a GTI eforce is a good gun too. Less than an Imagine also.

Tac-5 isn't bad for the price it looks pretty good to, if you really want to go cheap get a brass eagle. They are cheap. They may suck but if money is a big factor get a brass eagle becouse they still shoot.

i don't care for the tac-5 much.
you can customize a tippmann if you want it to be distinctive.
if you really want to be cool you could get a pump... save some money on paint too.
i got a tippmann procarbine, they're tippmanns, but they're not so common.
piranhas are cool too.

Yeah. That is what the eforce stands for. There is a GTI, R6 and SRT,which are mechs, and then there are GTI eforce, R6 eforce, and SRT eforce which are electronic.

i would not get the tac-5. my dad bouth one and i have a lot of experience with it. first, ball breaks are a paint to clean totally. it goes way back into the powertube and taking it apart is harder than my tippmann 98. next, it is very unupgradeable. there is a screw that connects the steel hose to the body and the hole is just too small to fit an expansion chamber or something like that. the only upgrade that i can thing of is a new barrel or dropforward. it is not very milsim at all. the most milsim thing about it are its color and the 2 rails it has. and it is the weirdest construction and assembly i have ever seen or heard of. yesterday i decided to take the grips off to see if i could get new ones or something. on one side of the metal grip a little panel pops off and you can see the trigger and some weird spring and the safety. i put the panel back on and the safety fell out the side. i tried to get it back in for like 15 minutes but it wouldnt stay. so now it doesnt have a safety except for the barrel plug. and since almost noone has it, it is impossible to find help for situations like mine on the internet.
i will suggest another gun that would be good if you want something kind of rare on the field.
most of this is on xpaintball.com
Diablo Sabotage vert asa-$50
pmi bottomline adapter-$9
some macroline kit-$10-12
expansion chamber-(price depends on what type. about $20-30)
and a new barrel and you'd have a good setup.
i just got this with red accessories and the gun is black and it looks really nice. one nice thing is im pretty sure you can add a spyder e-frame because it mounts the same way and has the striker or sear or whatever on the top.
