A drop forward moves your tank forward and down. This moves the weight of the tank more towards the center of the gun and balances more in your hand.
I don't know about any bolts for the 98C. I believe most people would say stick with the stock one. Maybe polish it.
And there are some others besides Blizzards Wrath, but yea, he's cool too.

also, a drop forward gives you a tighter stance because the tank is so far under the gun. they are a very good upgrade

DONT GET DROPS
They mak your shooting posture terrible. Just be logical, how many (good) pros do you see with drops? Also how can you make an accurate shooting platform is all the wieghts in one spot.

Thank you. Don't get a drop unless your gun is like a rifle. I would suggest a mini drop.
But whatever floats your boat, get a drop if you want.

I see everyone is against drops, but it seems to me it would make it easier to shoot one handed since the weight of the tank wouldn't be pulling the barrel up. I know there aren't too many occasions to shoot one handed, but even still it would take less effort to hold the gun down with the weight moved forward.
I'm not too big into the way they look though. The mini drops can be ok, but I don't go for those massive drops.

i like a little bit of a drop becuz i find with out it the tank like presses against my arm/chest, but with the drop it just goes like under my arm, and i can hold the gun closer to my mask and aim better

A drop is placed at the bottom of the trigger frame and it drops the asa down forward. Some people like it because it allows the tank to be placed right under the gun instead of out of the back of it(if the drop is big enough) , but as already stated, it is all preferance. As far as bolts go, I don't really think I'd change the bolt, but instead invest in a new trigger and barrel. I'd get an RT(response trigger) and whatever barrel you'd like. Personally I liked the Xcel for my tippmann. Hope that helps.

a drop is not preference, it is simply wrong. Wether you play recball or tourneyball, woodsball or speedball there is no reason to get one. While they do decrease the length of the gun, they increase the height drastically and promote a bad shooting posture. Height is much more of a disadvantage then length. If you do need a shorter set up, then there is still no reason to get a drop since modern tanks come in many different shapes and sizes to fit your arm length.
This is not up for debate, drops make you a bigger target by promoting bad shooting posture. period.
also, unless you are going to keep using the tippmann as a main gun for a long time and play frequently a bolt is not an effective use of money(get a J&J Ceramic barrel, good hopper, air tank, and then a new gun instead).

As much as i respect you, im gonna have to say that I disagree with some of your post. While they do force yourself to have bad shooting posture and do make your gun taller, sadly that just might be what is more comfortable for them. Drops are meant to make your setup more comfortable for you to hold. I myself am against drops too, so dont say i must have posted this because i use a drop. Infact, I'm even against rails. I prefer direct mount ASA's, preferably the CP one, it makes your setup a tad longer (i have longer arms.)

i was not saying it wont make it more comfortable, but a different sized tank will do the same thing without the disadvantages

I am not tall and I dont know about 98c's alot but I have a rodeo, and without the drop it isn't as balanced. But I do know most guns frames are about the same. And any gun I have tried without a drop the barrel sits to high. Therefore I can't see down the barrel making sighting with the barrel harder. I wouldn't try and shoot an elk with a 30-06 from the hip I want to see where it is pointing. So the drop puts it into a better position for that.
