Noob Help please
I read the pinned topic but I wanted some info specific to my situacion.
Hope you guys don't mind.
I'm planning to get my first marker soon and wanted to know which would be the best for casual play, woodsball mostly.
Also,if there are any relatively cheap upgrades that would greatly improve the markers performance please list those.
Thanks

You could get the Xtra, and get a J&J barrel, and a viewloader electric hopper.

which ever one of those is cheapest. All spyder markers are the same internally, the biggest difference is the body, and the price.
A j&j barrel would help accuracy a lot and a nice 12volt revvy would end chopping.

$100 is cheap, considering its with a mask ($20-30) and a tank ($20-25 for a 20oz).
a typical super pack for the xtra is like $150, and that comes with a 12 oz. tank, and a mask.

Thanks guys, you've been very helpful I think I'm just gonna buy the TL-X.
Do you guys think the barrel/agitated hopper will nhelp alot.
'cus I'm sort of on a budget but if it would really help I'd be willing to spend some more.
And I plan on using PMI premiums are those the correct bore size for the stock barrel?how about for the J&J?
Thanks again, and sorry for all the noob questions .
EDIT: found a website with a spyder X-tra for a good price so I'm pretty sure that is what I'm getting.

Would a Smart Parts Teadrop 14" barrel fit a spyder X-tra.
The website I might buy from doesn't have J&J or empire.

yeah it has spyder threads but wasn't sure if all models of spyders had same threads(like if older models used a different type of thread or something)
Thanks very much.

yup. pretty much all blowback markers are the same. just go for the cheapest, and nicest looking on. pretty much whichever one you prefer.

Well I heard the Tippmans and spyders were the best for noobs, and I didn't want to spend $130.00 on a tippman.

It all goes by what you like...what looks good to you. I would stay away from the Victor and Victor II... I would pick the rodoe...nice body and in camo color too....goods for woods ball. Spyder mechs are cheap and highly upgradeable. You will need a decent barrel, for the $30 range there are a few....also get dye stickie grips... halo tsa loader... many parts... have fun!

All the mechanical spyders are the same, inside.... just pick out what looks good for you. I kind of like the Sonix now...after I voted for the rodeo.... oh well.....
