allright before all of you start yelling about using the search button i tried and didnt find anything. yes i also read the stickies. my only question is what do i need to do to keep my gun in perfect working order?

There isnt much to it, you just really need to clean the outside and barrel of the gun after each time playing. And also its good to give the bolt some oil now and again. Thats what i do and my gun is still around

Lower end guns can usually last a couple of times of play without cleaning or the bolt needing lube again.

But with high end guns, its always best to clean and maintain the gun after every time of use.

Yup. If you do, it will become a habit of yours, and then when/if you get a nicer gun, you won't have a problem mantaining it.

Even if I shoot my gun in my back yard and only use a hopper, I will completely take it apart and clean it. Not because it needs to, but because it's a habit of mine to clean my gun after every time I use it. If I don't clean it right after I use it, I will do it the next day at the latest. I can't stand knowing my gun is "dirty". lol

also, get a diagram of your gun (manual, internet, etc.). know the inside of you gun, then it will be easier to take apart and clean.

really depends on what kind of marker you have...some markers you rarely need to do anything and others that need to be cleaned everytime you play

Don't literally "oil it" use lube. Oil is bad for guns.

Not doing it on a spyder/tippy which im assuming the thread starter has(excuse me if i am wrong) will dry the bolt out, in turn causing alot of friction inside the chamber, causing scratches.


Simply put,. everytime air goes through the marker, dissasemble it, lube the bolt and striker, clean out internals and barrel. After every 5 cases er so(some say 20 caes some say 10 i do 5, its all preferance) drop some oil in the asa and dry fire about 20-30 times, this will oil the valve.

Do that and your gun will last for a long time.

just put about two or three drop of lube in the asa and screw you tank on and fire it a few time and that just do it ok

the orings, youll see them along the bolt..there little rubberish rings that help keep a seal and junk.

ASA stands for air source adapter...what you screw the tank into.

After a few cases, drop 3 drops of oil into the little hole in the ASA, screw in the tank, and dry fire. I have PMI gun oil and it seems to work well on my fenix. When you get a nicer gun, you won't want to use oil, you would want lube (dow 33). On Spyders and Spyder clones (what you have) it's fine to use oil.

Pretty much the main part to oil on the bolt are the o rings. You can also put a couple on the bolt itself (don't need to if you have a delrin bolt though) and use your finger to spread it out.
