Wow...
Alright, an Autococker is not "every gun you don’t have to cock every time you shoot" Honestly with that man... The reason its called an Autococker is because it is designed as a pump gun, being it is closed bolt operated, but instead of you having to pump it after each shot, it "automatically" pumps, or cocks the gun after each shot using low pressure gases to move a ram, or piston, that moves the entire bolt and hammer assembly back into position.
And no, you don't have to cock the gun right when you gas it up, but you don't have to do that with most guns. But like all guns, that’s frowned upon because it’s bad for the cup seal (or the seal that closes the valve) because the hammer rests on the valve pin. The only difference is you can have it un-cocked, pull the trigger, and the hammer will be moved onto the sear. I think that’s what he was saying.
The ONLY way Autocockers require more work is when you dick around with them and break them when you don’t know what your doing. If you leave stuff alone that you don’t know how to service/tweak you'll be just fine.
And yes, M98Man
is right about WGP, WGP or Worr Game Products is the main (and first) manufacturer of Autocockers.
