no. any paintball gun will automatically cock itself after you cock it once with air in it. a spyder rodeo is a spyder. an autococker is a brand of gun, like spyder, dye, etc.

to cock the gun, with a spyder, or many other tyypes of guns, you pull the cocking knob back, and you're good to go... with guns like the ION and whatnot, it will automatically cock itself when you put your tank onto the marker...

Yep, with your imagine, you just pull the pin back until you hear a click and then air it up, you're good to go.
