i was looking at what stock ions go for and what A-5's with about the same mods as mine go for on ebay and it seems i can most likely get an ion for the money i would make from my A-5 ive never played at a field always just in the desert with friends would you guys sell the A-5 for an ION if your mostly going to play woodsball was thinking of someday going to a speedball field but dont know much about it and dont really wanna look like an arse ive read the newb comment thread lol

oh and i was planning on getting an HPA tank anyways so i guess all i wold be needing extra would be a electric hopper maybe a halo or something

i'd just stick with your tippmann, it will have little to no problems, itll work forever, just keep it. hpa would be a good upgrade though.

keep the tippman, most reliable gun. Ion would be a good upgrade when you start playing speedball.

cool then ill just keep trying to get lucky and get a hpa tank for around $100.00 lol then someday in my life get a ion and just keep the A-5

Well, i'd say keep the tippmann. But if you are thinking about playing more speedball than woodsball, get the ion for sure.

well i was thinking of going to speedball places cause i dont really have anymore friend that play PB anymore so ive been trying to tell everyone i meet to go buy a freakin marker and to play i traded my nitro TC3 to my cousin for all his PB gear and his A-5 thats why i have 2 now lol the next day he blew the motor on the car and blew the front diff ........ oh well so now that i have noone to ball with it getts boring going out by my self and shooting dirt and rocks lol WHY DONT MORE PEOPLE PLAY! maybe if it wasnt so expensive more people would play...

go to a field that is closest to you, and be friendly, i guarantee you'll make some friends haha...how far away is the nearest field?

no idea were a field is when i used to go with my cousin and his friend we would go to some part of desert off the side of the road and other people would be there playing and we would just play agains whoever was there last time we went the people i was agains were all dressed in camo and had throat mics and everything and i had a red sweater and jeans on and me and my friend were the last people standing lol i got hit only one time in the wrist but didnt really feel it must have just skinned it or something...

hmm use google to search or go to warpig.com (i think thats the site) and look for a field near you..or go on pbnation to find one in the regional forum

stick with the tippmann if ur gona keep playin woodsball, but if ur gona start playin speedball get the ion and up it and get HPA anyway

I returned my A-5 for an Ion.. Couldn't be happier.. Much more simple, fast, and more accurate out of the box.

simple? an electro-pneumatic gun will always be more complicated than a blowback.

accurate? that has to do with what kind of barrel you got, not the type of gun.

Yep...the Tipman is like a tommy gun (thompson) Super in-accurate with the stock barrel. Just throw on a CP 1 peice on the A-5 then your good to go...

"Accurate out of the box" meaning the stock barrel of the Ion is more accurate. Also the Ion is very simple in the number of parts and operation. Take the A-5 apart. You have this bar thing joining two parts and a valve in the middle. It's not that complicated but the Ion is simplicity in my eyes.
