ACS in an electric sense is just what Roadkill said- an electric system that stops the gun from chopping paint.
What's a chop? That's when the gun fires while paint is only half-loaded into the breech. The bolt will break the paint in half and create a lovely mess. Some guns will jam from the shell fragments, almost all will have accuracy or loading problems until cleaned.
The Kingman ACS is just like the JAM bolt, which probably means nothing to you at this point. The bolt is in two over-lapping sections, and they are attached with a spring. The theory is that when the bolt hits a ball, the bolt spring will collapse and the bolt will bounce off the ball isntead of breaking it in half.
In my experience, this system works fairly well. The one I installed would prevent chops, but I would have to recock the gun afterwards. At any rate, this was better than cleaning it constantly. Other people love it, some hate it and say it is worthless.
