As far as reliability, they're about the same. Just with the Imagine, you have to remember to charge your battery. Also it would be a good idea to get an electronic hopper if you got the Imagine. Anyway, maintenance and care would be identical for those two. They're both good starter markers, but I suggest the Imagine. Even if you don't use full auto, you can still shoot faster with an electronic marker.

so basically which ever one is cheaper. im too lazy to click the thinks.
but be advised, you cant use automatic @ fields. is it that important to you (if your going to buy the imagine b/c of automatic).

I see you didn't click the links. The Xtra has a rocking trigger frame.
Either way, Imagine.

Meh, I didn't look either. I'd go with the Xtra. I like the looks of it better and that's pretty much the only difference in these two anyway.

I'd go with a Tippmann 98 Custom. Great guns, never let you down. Spyders tend to break down quite often.

Spyders dont suck...Hes just saying that because he probably has a tippman. Tippmans are also nice starting guns. Will you be playing speedball or woodsball?

Spyders are just fine. The only reason they break down is irresponsible people do not clean and lube them after they play. If you maintain them correctly, they are very reliable. I mean they're so simple, and easy to work on if you do have to. And parts are abundant.
Edit: BTW, I prefer Piranhas, but they operate exactly the same as Spyders. You can find an SRT or something for like $50 and be good to go for awhile. Then later on if you want something better, no problem. But if you take care of that Piranha, you'll still have it as a backup.

Spyders are fine, my xtra lasted me reliably for my first year, they are actually pretty reliable guns.

Well that makes a little more sense. If you're gonna be playing alot of woods/scenario type stuff, then Tippys are what ya want.
