Need new Speedball Gun... READ THIS!

Here are the guns i am looking at :

05 Promaster

E1 Cocker (Used, for only 300 and many ups)

Ion

Vision Impulse

Those are the guns that i am currently looking at because they are in my price range. Please tell me which one you think and why.. i was about to get the cocker but some people told me that they are hard to maintain for a first timer. I have only an A5 right now so i don't have to do that much maintaining on my gun. I also really like the promaster because of the looks. Thanks.

ALSO TELL ME OF ANY OTHER GUNS 200-400$ THAT ARE NICE AND RELIABLE!

Thanks.

IMO i'd get the cocker, it's a good all around gun, you can put a lot of money into them (and i mean a LOT) and they shoot good as long as you know how to use it, they can also rip pretty good

Is it really that difficult for a "Newbie" to learn how to maintain a high end gun such as a e-cocker? If not... then i'm about to go get one lol. And why do you say the Promaster?

It's between the Ion and Promaster. Imps and cockers dont have anything compared to those two. trust me, having owned several cockers, and having used Imps many times, neither can match the Ion or promaster when comparing ease of use, reliability, weight, price and how they actually shoot.

It all depends on how much money your willing to shell out. Know that no matter what gun you get, your going to have to buy an electronic hopper which is at the very least $50, and a compressed air tank, $70 for cheap and heavy steel ones, $180 for a good one.

I have personal experience with the ion and know that it shoots damn good for such a cheap gun. In fact it shoots amazingly. The only problem I see is that it can be finicky. I've never had problems with using them, but taking them apart and cleaning is a major change from a tippmann.

As for the promaster, I have never seen or shot one, so I cant really comment on it. Wait for the promaster owners to have their say.

Remember you will need to use compressed air on these higher end guns. My vote is for the promaster.

Go with the ion, it is very reliable, cheap, fast, and upgradeable. The promaster is not quite as upgradeable and (given my experience with ICD guns) a little less reliable. Also the stock regs on the promaster tend to have problems out of the box and replacing it with a good one is an extra 55-75 dollars, which you may not want to spend. The ion (in my experience with both guns) is going to be less finnicky and will last better. The best info you can get is try em out and decide which you like best!
